Let's Work Together.

But first – what are my rates?

It's the first question a lot of people ask me, and to be completely honest I think it's the first question everyone should ask when it comes to working with freelancers, especially creative ones. I don't say that in a distrustful way – just to point out that we all have different ways of pricing our services.

Here's how I price mine.

Engineering and Production

My engineering and production work primarily happen at my recording studio in Wyandotte, Eureka Records, and whether I'm doing one job or the other (or some combination of both) I charge for my time.

Specifically, I charge by the day, which I consider around 8-10 hours. I'm not a stickler or a clock watcher, I mostly gauge this by our general productivity and how much more "finished" we can make something by spending that little bit of extra time together.

My current day rate is $400.

Mixing and Mastering

All of my post-production work happens after you and your collaborators leave the studio. Or perhaps you guys never showed up, and you sent me some tracks that you recorded somewhere else! Either way, I price these services by quantity.

Specifically, mixing is priced at $100 per song.

Mastering is priced at $10 per recorded minute of the full project for standard digital distribution releases.
